See What Speaking Event Attendees Have to Say
“I had never utilized the services of a professional coach, but Stephanie came into my life at just the right time. I had recently been hired to oversee a newly forming Human Resources department and my greatest challenge came from an employee who was assigned to work for me. I immediately faced opposition. At a time when I had mounting concerns as to whether we would be able to come together to be an effective team, Stephanie came to speak at our local HR Association meeting. Her presentation “Building Powerful Relationships with Heart-Based Leadership” was just what I needed to hear. After sharing my own challenges with her after the meeting, we began a “coaching” relationship. Weekly (and sometimes daily when I needed it), Stephanie offered insightful words of encouragement, affirmation, and practical advice on how to handle this major dilemma I was facing. This was a critical time in my professional career and a period where I seriously considered resigning the new position. With her “Heart-Based” approach, I was able to learn strategies in effective communication and, more importantly, listening skills which, in the end, turned the situation completely around to where the team environment I had hoped to build began to unfold. I’m now loving my position (and my team), and I can’t thank her enough for all she did to help me to realize that I had the power to resolve the problem through Heart-Based leadership and that the solution was in my own control!” ~ Carrie F.
“We enjoyed Stephanie McDilda’s engaging presentation on “Heart Based Leadership”. Her key points for leading from the heart focused on how it’s good for business and makes our jobs as leaders easier. The examples she provided showed the true benefits of this style of leadership in providing positive feedback for employees, while contributing to a healthy work environment. The group interactions allowed us to discuss our experiences and compare them with leadership best practices.” ~ LaVern Witherspoon, WITI RTP Network Director
“Thank you Stephanie, for your presentation on heart based leadership. Too often, in HR, we get caught up in what is the “legal” answer. You gave us a great reminder that the “right” answer solves the problem. Thanks again!” ~ Rachel Whitaker, President, Gaston Human Resources
“Stephanie McDilda is one of those rare speakers who delivers what she promises. She presented the keynote at the Soroptimist International of Raleigh 2015 Triangle Women of Distinction Awards in April of 2015, on the topic of Heart-Based Leadership. Now, really — what does that mean? The speech could have been filled with fluff, buzzwords, and a heart-warming story or two… the kind of speech that makes you walk away with a smile, but an uneasy feeling that you aren’t sure what was meaningful. Entertainment, but little discernible content. But that’s not how Stephanie makes a presentation. Ms. McDilda doesn’t just entertain — she teaches her audience by clearly stating her points, defining her terms, explaining the nuances, and backing it all up with relevant examples from her own experience. She excels at tailoring her presentation to her audience. In short, she delivers a message, and she does so concisely and with good-natured humor. I heartily recommend her to any organization that wants to deliver real content to its audience in an enjoyable and satisfying manner.” ~Pat Lynch, Volunteer and Member, Soroptimist International of Raleigh, NC
I had the immense pleasure of hearing Stephanie speak this week at the NAWBO-Raleigh luncheon. What an amazing presentation! Stephanie’s talk was meaningful, engaging and inspiring. She easily connected with the audience, sharing personal stories and occasional humor to illustrate her points. I highly recommend Stephanie as a speaker! ~Susan Stanhope, President, NAWBO Raleigh
An absolute delight! That is the experience you will have with Stephanie McDilda as a keynote speaker and as a facilitator of heart based leadership programs. Stephanie was asked to come and speak to our business executives at a recent Business Boot Camp and she blew the room away as she dismantled and debunked the idea that leaders have to be disciplinarians and seen as the voice of absolute authority in order to gain control of their work teams. Ms. McDilda spoke about loving your employees and how the attitude of a heart-based leader can bring about a more cohesive, friendly work environment and in-turn, bigger profit! Her passion for the work she does and the message she has is phenomenal. If you are the CEO or an upper manager of a work team, and you are reading this…you should be contacting Stephanie McDilda to see how heart-based leadership can make you and the lives of your employees less stressful and more productive. ~BJ Davis, Performance Coach at BJD Leadership Training and Team Development, Executive Director of Emerging Women NC

With strategic as one of her top strengths, Stephanie can be counted on to ask the questions and then what? Where are the obstacles? What is our strategy to overcome them? ~E.L. (Betsy) Smith, PhD.
I had the distinct honor of meeting and listening to Stephanie on two occasions through my involvement with SHRM in High Point and Winston Salem, NC. Stephanie’s seminar on Heart Based Leadership resonated with me and has changed the way I look at leadership. I always believed in being a servant leader and understood that most employees quit their supervisor and not their company. Stephanie was able to teach how to be a balanced leader with the ability to be assertive, fair and uphold the mission of your company while at the same time being able to convey a sense that you can truly care about the lives of those one supervises. I would highly recommend having Stephanie train your leadership team these life changing skills! ~Matt Winnicki. Employee Benefits Specialist at IDShield/LegalShield

I have had the pleasure of hearing Stephanie speak on more than one occasion and the outcome is always the same–people are inspired by her and make it known right then and there. Her message is powerful, so powerful that I recently asked her to consider speaking at the 2015 Emerging Week being held at Umstead Park beginning May 31st. Clearly everyone has an idea of how many events I attend. Tonight was one for the books. I had the absolute privilege of being front row when my friend Stephanie J McDilda gave one of the BEST speeches I have EVER heard, in my life! WOW! If you have not heard her speak, get to one of her speeches or invite her to one of your events. She does not disappoint. I think I teared up as much as I laughed. Her message of Living Your Dreams through embracing a journey of kindness, love and treating one another only as beautifully as we treat ourselves truly resonated with the crowd. Did Stephanie deliver? Indeed she did! It was just the right shot in the arm for my team. She was gentle and concise. She drew them in and made them want to participate. I appreciate how Stephanie was willing to customize the presentation for my team by bringing in just the right examples and incorporating scripture at my request. As our leaders went forward, they were able to use what they learned. ~Reggie Edwards, Director The Encouraging Place
After watching a great movie most people want to relive the experience by talking about it after the movie is over and sometimes even talk about it the next day and tell others about it. Stephanie is on to something big! I just heard her speak on “Love as a Leadership Strategy” in Raleigh NC. Corporate America is in great need of this leadership strategy. It’s not the romantic love that we tend to think about, it’s the genuine care and connection with our people. It’s the value we show our employees and our customers. I was moved by Stephanie’s stories as to how she has implemented Love as a Leadership Strategy in her years in the corporate environment. Corporate America will soon be thriving, employees will feel appreciated, loyalty will exist again and happiness will increase. That’s the power in this strategy! Thank you Stephanie for your love of true leadership! ~JoAnne Schaub

When we were short a speaker 2 weeks before our Annual Volunteer Conference, we contacted Stephanie per a referral from another staff member. She listened to what we wanted and gave us everything we were looking for—it was like she had worked for the organization for years! She was extremely flexible and willing to customize her program to reflect both our mission as an organization and the theme of the conference. It was great! Her program on leadership and love connected with our conference theme and helped teach our volunteers what leadership should look like. Stephanie was so relatable and made every volunteer feel comfortable. The volunteers who are the lifeblood or our organization absolutely loved her and her message. The feedback from the event was extremely positive. Her presentation was truly engaging, inspirational and energetic.
